How lucky you were to have that place…oh the memories it must hold! But accepting, adapting is life… no whining allowed. You will find your place…maybe even a different night… and before long you’ll be applauding a new favorite thing! Right now I’m dealing with the quick change of fall this year… autumn colors and falling leaves already here in Michigan. Thanks for this great piece reminding us change is the one thing we can depend on! Beautifully written as always! 🤗😊
I used to have places like this when I was a drinker. Sometimes I think the familiarity and camaraderie are the real reasons people like bars, initially. It's a shame there's not an alcohol free way to get this experience. I don't see coffee shop people talking as freely to each other. Enjoyed your piece.
For us, it’s about the shared time at the bar, not so much the drinking. In Spain, we’ve experienced tapas places that are similar where it’s more about the food than the drinks.
I feel like people tend to be more private in coffee shops, maybe because there isn’t a long counter to sit at? Thanks for reading!
