Maybe someday I could even learn to bake a thing or two from you. That'd be pretty fun. But I think I just want to be Jerry, snacking away on all that cheese. I hope there's no Tom around.
Someday I would love to come and buy a croissant and some cheese or just place a heap of money and ask for the good stuff, and maybe loiter around to story gather and people watch as well, while getting fat on whatever baked goodies and cheeses you gave me.
Rachel, thank you for sharing your life and your stories with us. You know you have already had an impact on my life, I am so grateful for you and La Bonne Vie.
It just occurred to me that you are a holy trinity of sorts: you provide nourishing bread, cheese and stories 😊. Oh wait, and croissants! That's not a trinity anymore, I just ruined my own analogy🤨🤣
I’d love to receive your daily nudges in July please Rachel. I love your stories about customers sharing their lives with you … in a small way I enjoy daily encounters on my dog walks with friends and strangers who are drawn together by our curious sniffing dogs 🐕
I'm so glad to read about the other side of the story :) I'm a «regular» at a couple of places in my neighbourhood (the bulk store, my beautiful library, the bakery, our yoga studio) and I always wandered about the business owner side, and it feels to be greeted by regulars and nice customers :)
I love this. Especially the part about "It's about each of these customers' lives touching mine." So rich. Also the food looks good!

I’m Jerry sometimes…That’s mostly why I have a cheese shop.😋

Seriously, though, thank you 🙏🏽

Okay, I’ll add you to the list! Yes, I can imagine the connections made by dog walking! We have those as well.😋

It feels wonderful! And it often goes both ways.💕✨
This reminds me of Jacob's Meat Market in my neighborhood where neighbors congregate in telling jokes, sharing news, and telling stories.
I love these places that bring people together.
Thanks for creating such a space in your neighborhood.
I need a daily nudge please
Great! I’ll add you to the list.
Daily nudge please!
Lovely! I’ll add you to the list.
