I’ve spent the most time in Chestertown and New Russia — Chestertown is closer to Lake George which has fun touristy stuff and New Russia is closer to Lake Placid which is very cool to walk around. I’m more of a summer person, so lots of hiking, lakes and trails everywhere. But skiers love the Adirondacks too!
