I love this post. You capture that feeling of how a place can suddenly feel like home, if only for a day or two, planned or not.

Thank you! I’ve learned how to feel at home wherever I go. Probably a result of growing up with many cultures.

Every time I go to a new town in France, I wonder about if I would like living there. Sometimes the places truly tempt me (or us); other times I know it's just a passing fancy.

Yes. Unfortunately, I had no oven and discovered that a microwave won’t do when it comes to croissants.🤣 They turned out but did not brown as they would in a regular oven.
