Good morning, friends!
I had a post ready to send out but, after catching a summer head cold, my energy is lagging.
This morning, all I can muster to send is this photo of a dragonfly on a dead magnolia bud.
We had a beautiful magnolia tree that bloomed profusely in the spring with vibrant dark pink flowers. Until the day a late frost killed it. The dragonflies, though, loved it and, for a year, we didn’t cut it down so the dragonflies could cavort in its dead branches.
I’m sure there’s a story there. The part I like though is that we took the time to notice.
I’ll be back with a new column sometime this week. Until then, look around you. And “see it feelingly,” as Shakespeare said hundred of years ago…
Tomorrow is a new day.

P.S. I finished Once a Day in May, a daily nudge of the good life, for some of you who signed up for it. I will be starting a new one in July, Drop by in July. I’m excited that numerous of you have already signed up! If you want to be a part of it and receive a daily nudge or inspiration, let me know in the comments or by email. I’d be glad to have you join me!
It's funny... I also have bumping around in my head the topic of taking time, giving time, not acting on first observations... and it also relates to a dead bush (hibiscus in my case). Or so we thought.
Will I write it? I don't know. June is turning out to be a weird month for me.
Hope you're feeling better. Lots of 🤎🤎
I would love to receive your daily nudge! What a beautiful dragonfly, feel better soon!
