Your knee, my shoulder… I’ve slowly lost mobility of my left shoulder over the past 3 days. I’m in pain and just looking forward to the end of these holidays and going back home… your post made see things differently, I will try to be more accepting- “this too shall pass”. I will make the best of it. 🙏🏽

I hope you continue to enjoy the slowing down, though I won’t go as far as to wish you a slow recovery 🤣

Get well soon, dear Rachel.

Good for you, slowing down! Purposeful, intentional... like so much what I see in your life. Admirable. ❤️💪

Sometimes the things that slow us down are actually mixed blessings. I'm amazed at all the activities in the yard when I take the time to observe. At first, I wondered whether there had always been that much activity and, of course, it had been there all along: the butterflies flitting from flower to flower, the hummingbirds with their kamakaze feeding frenzy, the bees buzzing ing the clover and the wind softly blowing the chimes on the patio. How lovely it is to sit and observe. We should all do so more often. Take good care and enjoy a little respite, Rachel.

May you soon be back to your full speed, Rachel, and continue to appreciate all of the little joys of life, all of the things that bring awe and ahs, wonder and peace. Take good care.

Getting better as anticipated. It’s those small wonders that make it all worth it. Thank you!

Thank you! Sometimes I wonder what I’ve missed when I haven’t been looking! Yes, small wonders right under our feet.

Your knee was trying to tell you something... and you listened. Have fun slowing down and wishing your knee a speedy recovery. Which, as I learned from my daughter's past ballet career, is exactly what happens: slow down, and your joints and injuries heal faster. In the meantime, glad you are enjoying the slow(er) life :)
